Argentina as a tourist destination offers many sightseeing places ranging from architecture, museums, parks, and basilicas. The neo-gothic Basílica Nuestra Señora de Luján is one of the top ten sightseeing places in Argentina. This is also a holy devotional site which is visited by devotees throughout the year. This basilica is situated 43 miles west of Buenos Aires. The Basílica of Nuestra Señora de Luján was constructed between 1890 and 1910. The church measures 104 meters in length, 42 meters in width and 106 meters in height. This Basilica consists of the image of Virgin Mary.

The terra-cotta image of Virgin Mary measures 38 centimeters but she is huge because it symbolizes the Mother of God. It has an atmosphere alike to works of Murillo. One of them is a symbolization of the immaculate patterned Conception in Brazil and consignment to Argentina in May of 1630. The old chapel was in the house of Don Rosendo. A bigger and beautiful sanctuary was completed in 1685 and the present temple was built in century XIX. In 1887 the effigy was enshrouded with a frame of solid silver. It attires in beautiful white tunica and a celestial blue mantle which represents the colors of the Argentina flag. The Virgin is brown with oval face and blue eyes. She has the hands in oration next to the chest.

This famous basilica also contains an organ called the Mutin Cavaillé-Coll. This instrument is very significant because of its composite and occupying mechanism. It has a singular creation since it is the deduction of the romantic symphonic constituents and the new neoclassic paragons that Charles Mutin began to acquainted in his works before any other organ builder.
